Abstract
Aim: To improve team bonding and colleague engagement whilst in a remote working environment (such as home address) across the Resilience & Operational Support Team (Corporate Directorate) by July 2025. Formed in April 2024 and working remotely, the Resilience and Operational Support Team sought to foster stronger connections and team cohesion through virtual bonding strategies aligned with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, without requiring a return to the office. Tools Used: PDSA Cycles - https://aqua.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/qsir-pdsa-cycles-model-for-improvement.pdf; Brainstorming - https://aqua.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/qsir-brainstorming.pdf; Constraints - https://aqua.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/qsir-theory-of-constraints.pdf; Staff survey; Voting. Project Impact: • Team members communicate more frequently and have better relationships. • The team now do a regular mixture of virtual and in-person activities. • Staff have increased seeing each other face-to-face.
