Abstract
To increase engagement from staff working in CAMHS services with The Improvement Team at CWPT (leading to an increase in the number of staff who are QSIR trained and the number of registered QI projects for these services).
Historically there have been low levels of engagement with The Improvement Team from CAMHS when compared to other services in the Trust, with very few QI projects registered and small numbers of staff completing QSIR training. Presentations given at a CAMHS event in October 2024 showed that lots of potential improvement work is happening, but staff are not accessing the team for support with this. We wanted to understand and overcome these barriers, with the aim of increasing engagement with the team.

Project Impact:
- Increased number of CAMHS QI projects registered, especially in the ED team.
- Increased number of CAMHS staff booked onto and completed QSIR training.
- Recognition of CAMHS QI project work, with one winning the Innovation Award at the CWPT Medic Awards and one being accepted for a poster presentation at the RCPsych Congress.
- More use of QI methods for pieces of work in CAMHS services and regular QI-focused meetings set up.
