Like other fellow clinicians, psychiatrists face considerable stress in clinical practice and a proportion of them suffer from mental health problems. However, besides low rate of help‑seeking, there are concerns of the availability of services and facilities appropriate for clinicians. Stigma plays its role as well. Even if most psychiatrists are resilient and can cope with the psychological stress reasonably well, support is still needed for a proportion of them. This issue needs further exploration to understand the extent of the problem, setting up appropriate supportive measures, and to study the effectiveness of any interventions.enPatients. Primary care.
